Rod Gutherberg leads the team at Atlas Solar Innovations. With over 30 years of solar energy systems experience in California and Florida, Rod played an instrumental role in the development of Florida’s modern era (1974– ) solar industry.
Rod (pictured at right) served as one of then-Florida Governor Bob Graham’s Governor’s Energy Partners during 1978, two terms as President of the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association (FLASEIA) during 1984–85 and 1986–87, and as a board member of Miami-Dade Community College Consumer Affairs in 1984 and FLASEIA in 1988–89.
He lobbied the Florida legislature to establish the Watt Saver Program and he helped set standards for a new state contractor license category: Solar Contractor. He also established a retrofit market program for radiant barrier installation.
In addition to his industry service and government affairs activities, Rod also managed to find time to build one of the first successful solar pool heating dealership networks during the early 1980s, and he has trained hundreds of solar sales representatives and solar installation technicians during the past three decades.

Atlas Solar Innovations has the financial resources and the experienced solar professionals to ensure that your solar energy system—whether you install solar water heating, solar pool heating, solar electric power, or some combination of all three—uses proven products, is sized and installed correctly, and is backed up by our dependable service department for years to come. When you choose ASI for a solar electric power system, your system will be sized and engineered by a specially trained PV system designer. Also, we have decades of experience in both solar energy systems and roofing, so we are completely familiar with the special needs of high windspeed areas like South Florida.
We plan to lead the market in introducing highly efficient, crystalline photovoltaic (solar electric) systems and the newest generations of flexible, thin-film BIPV roof systems. We have established a network of certified electrical contractors, roofers and photovoltaic systems installers within the eastern United States who are eager to install BIPV roof systems. Our research and development team is working with several industry-leading roofing manufacturers to enable these new technologies to meet the South Florida building codes, while preserving roof warranties.
Atlas Solar Innovations (ASI) is a division of All Atlas Roofing of South Florida (see below). In addition to our South Florida headquarters, we will be expanding into North Carolina and Massachusetts during the coming months.

The three awards recognize, respectively, dedication to quality roof systems installations, commitment to continuous improvement, and superior customer service. Throughout the entire United States, only three other contractors received 2008 Master Select™ Excellence Awards. Historically, fewer than two percent of roofing contractors nationwide have achieved GAF Master Select™ status.
In addition to GAF, All Atlas Roofing is also a certified and approved dealer and installer of roofing products by Koppers Industries, U.S. Intec, Flex, Kemper Systems, Neogard and Genstar. We belong to the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), South Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association (SFRSA), Roofing Contractors Association of South Florida (RCASF), the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association and the Better Business Bureau.
